Spring 2003 Newsletter
The next meeting will be held at 7:00PM in Christ United Methodist Church on Monday April 21, 2003. Topics discussed will include:
- Alternate US-31
- At a recent Chamber of Commerce meeting it was stated that a final decision would not be made until this fall.
- Washington Woods Elementary School Park Complex plans finalized:
- This park area will include best in the state Cross Country Trails
- Walking paths connecting our sub-division to the school area & sports complex.
- Play ground area with public parking that is Handi-cap accessible
- No organized games to be played on the fields.
- The school fields are for practice and will not have lighting.
- A water detention area will be put in so that water does not run into Willow Creek from the fields as it currently does.
- A trail was initially suggested to go along both sides of the creek, but after walking the area, we felt that the trail should not be on the south side of the creek where the homes of Amberwood Court, Lucas Circle and Lucas Drive are. The area on the south side of the creek along the back yards of these homes will be left as-is.
- We have spoken with the schools about these details and they have been very cooperative; their desire is to leave as many trees as possible standing to keep the area "park like".
- Homeowners dues are due April 30, 2003! $110.25 (same as last year)
- Election of board of directors. Positions are President, Treasurer, Secretary, Groundskeeping Directory and Community Liaison. Please consider how you can help next year with some of the positions!

If your mailbox is looking rather well used, a new one can be purchased from Caporale Post Company at 317-883-3725. It is a long distance call from Westfield to Greenwood. They will sell you just the post, only the box, or completed assembly. They will also install if you want.
Your Association Governing Board
